Welcome note
|
Dear Web- visitor,
Welcome to the Jordan National Competitiveness Observatory (JNCO)
Website.
Competitiveness is the key word in economic development
today as the world economy has entered a new era of competition.
Traditional barriers have begun to fall, new sophisticated
competitors have emerged, and global rivalry is the new accepted
norm. The new emerging development paradigm is one that involves
the entire market and every economic institution.
The JNCO is the institutionalized form of the former national
competitiveness team with a vision of continuous economic
sectors’ researching and benchmarking to regional and
international markets. This is the tool that enriches the
reference data base that we provide for all stakeholders at
these sectors. We consider direct dialogue and surveying as
valuable resources for real assessment of economy
competitiveness status and for information gathering.
Jordan Competitiveness Observatory will be tracking the
Kingdom's competitive performance forming a reference data base
at both the macro- and micro- levels, and acting as an early
warning signaling system. We will resume being the only
counterpart of the World Economic Forum, the Institute of
Management Development Competitiveness Yearbook Report (WCY) and
Arab Planning Institute. Our team works hard to help
establishing a competitive environment in which Jordanian firms
can succeed. The public-private relationships bridged by the
Observatory team members help instate policies that are
favorable to Jordan's industrial success and guiding for
decision makers and consequently will help them grow competitive
in the world markets. It is aimed to make our work more public,
substantial and influential.
The observatory data and research hard work will be available
for the public with special access permissions to registered
stakeholders for more in depth data, researches and analysis
processing.
We'd love to hear from you with any suggestions or comments you
might have on the observatory's work. Please feel free to
contact us.
Best Regards,
Amjad Attar
Director
Jordan National Competitiveness Observatory
