Jordan’s Second Competitiveness Report and Jordan’s First Responsible Competitiveness Report Launched under the Patronage of his Excellency the Prime Minister
His Excellency the Prime Minister Mr. Sameer Rifai patronized the launching ceremony for Jordan’s Second Competitiveness Report 2008 – 2009 and Jordan’s First Competitiveness report 2009 his Excellency the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation held on the 21st of January 2010.
In his speech his Excellency Dr. Jafar Hassan the Minister of Planning and International Cooperation stressed the importance of these two reports as a manifestation of joint efforts between the public and private sectors to enhance Jordan’s state of competitiveness nationally and globally and achieving a strong partnership between both sectors to achieve sustainable development.
The ceremony was attended by key representatives of both public and private sector in addition to international organizations’ delegates.
Dr. Maher Al Mahrouq the director of the Policies and Studies Department in the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation briefed his Excellency the Prime Minster and the audience about the main findings and recommendations of Jordan’s Second Competitiveness Report 2008 - 2009 during the presentation he delivered.
In return Mr. Darin Rover the president of Sustainability Excellence demonstrated a brief about Jordan’s First Responsible Competitiveness Report 2009 and its main finding and recommendations. It is worth mentioning that this report was a response to her majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah initiative to apply the recommendation of the Arab Responsible Competitiveness Index finding at the world economic form in 2009.
